WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?

Her Royal Highness Hillary Clinton’s “What difference does it make” comment makes me wonder what difference anything makes at this point in time.

As Richard Blanco wrote and recited in his poem, “One Today”, on Inauguration Day, “One sun rose on us today, kindled over our shores, peeking over the Smokies, greeting the faces of the Great Lakes, spreading a simple truth across the Great Plains, then charging across the Rockies.”

Under that “one sun” that rose today, we are led by a President re-elected despite a four-year record of failure with a Secretary of State who takes responsibility for the death of four Americans yet left the Congressional hearings without even a rap across her gnarly knuckles.

Senate leaders wasted time cutting a deal “to ease gridlock” in the slower-than-molasses-moving Senate by limiting the GOP’s filibustering instead of getting any real work done

The national debt is $16,400,000,000,000-plus and increasing every second.

The U.S. population is 315,000,000+ but only 112,000,000+ pay taxes.

The official unemployment number is reported at 12,000,000+ when the actual unemployment number is 22,000,000+; there are more than 48,000,000 food stamp recipients; 1,200,000+ bankruptcies; 745,000+ housing foreclosures and a debate whether Beyoncé was lip-syncing the National Anthem on Inauguration Day.

What difference does anything make? It won’t be any different tomorrow.
